Krizik fountains in Prague.

 

In the evening Prague will present you the magnificent and gorgeous sight - the singing fountains. These fountains deliver you the unique sight of dancing water, music and colour - and you can enjoy it in summer Prague at Vystavist. Fountain was constructed by the genius called Frantisek Krizik for the jubilee exhibition in 1841 and it was an engineering miracle of the time. About 100 years later, on the May 15, 1991 the fountain was restarted after it had been reconstructed. The fountain is operated through the special computer programme. Completely new computer music is used for every single performance: for instance, Swan Lake, Mermaid, Carmen, Italian composers, romanticists, movie soundtracks, etc. Ticket price: 200 korunas. Free entry for children under 6 years. There is no need to book the places, you should just come 15 minutes before the show starts.

There are 4 performances everyday, first one starts at 20.00, the last - at 23.00. Classical works by Dvorak, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Smetana, romantic concerts, songs from famous movies accompany the magnificent sight, that is a total must-see for the tourist visiting Prague.
